The word lounge is both a verb and a noun: an action in which you sit or lie relaxed, or a public space in which you can relax. This double nature of recreation is the focus of this duet for two bodies identifying themselves as female. Together they move through states of active and passive recovery and use the presence of others to dive deeper into themselves and the vibe. The piece is permeated by the idea of invisible lap dance - small, almost imperceptible dances that use the gaze to blur the boundaries between giving and receiving. Lounge trusts eroticism and the creation of community - and thus explores the pleasant peace as an active assertion of femininity.

MARGA ALFEIRÃO uses media to create safe spaces for research into intimacy and sexuality through dance and performance. Strongly influenced by dance genres and sound textures from the African diaspora, which are spread by the social fabric of Lisbon, seeks active claims of femininity by creating space for lesbian sensualities. Last year, together with Camila Malenchini, she premiered Wet Eyez, a piece about emotional body and fantasy. She worked with choreographers Tamara Alegre, Antonja Livingstone and architect Afaina de Jong, among others. As a founding member of Casa das Musas, she is active in the Portuguese ballroom scene. As a graduate of the BA in Dance and Choreography of the HZT in Berlin (2017-21), she initiated Lapdances to Ringtones and Lullabies, a research on eroticism and recreation.

TIRANA

: Kind of fandango
: Old popular Spanish song of moderate movement and syncopated rhythm in triple time, arising from one that began with the words ¡Ay, tirana, tirana!
: An ungrateful, elusive, or evil woman. 
: Cruel woman

TIRANA is an immersive sound choreography that explores singing physicalities and the limits of the female voice, both in pitch and volume. The work addresses gender issues through the production and interpretation of sound. Inspiration is gathered from Portuguese folk songs and female polyphonic repertoire, which are traditionally sung in a loud and expansive manner and address themes of female labour, motherhood and violence. Sound artist, Inês Tartaruga Água, created an instrument for the work, bringing vast attention to the haptic nature of sound and the relationship of different resonant bodies in space. By creating movement and sound landscapes, there is a search for the spaces in between, from breath to song.

HERZEN. ZWISCHEN. Vulkanen is a dance performance featuring six performers and original music. It explores the origin of life and evolution while simultaneously alluding to the cycles in which we, as humans, are entwined: life and death as a constant process of transformation. Even our own cells are continually recreated and destroyed, such as the complete renewal of our skin every four to six weeks, for example. The theme of the performance, the emergence and origins of life, acquires a performative quality through the sounds of the bodies and the examination of the movement of each performer's spine.
In the production by the tanzfähig company, the inner space of the performers' bodies intersects with their sounds, and the outer space with their movements. Similarly, the space of the audience and the space of the performers blend into one another. This results in a piece where the audience can directly experience the movement and individuality of each performer on stage and become immersed in the performance. It becomes evident that, despite their differences, everyone is alike and subject to the same processes of life.

A meeting point, a friendship, a secret space where stories of fear, joy and agency are recalled. Cyber Ghosts plays around with the notions of surveillance and control in an ironic, intimate and poetic setting. Kiana and Roham meet online in an environment that feels uncertain, unstable and, at times, threatening. Through dances and songs they explore feelings that have been repressed and stigmatized and develop collective survival strategies. In a space that connects the stage of the Sophiensæle and a rural house in Iran, where Roham lives, somewhere in between delight and distress, they withstand in their glow; for dance that is the poison.

KIANA REZVANI is a choreographer and performer from Iran, based in berlin that plays around with a status of continuous in betweenness. Kiana’s artistic works search for untold, hidden and suppressed histories, memories and narratives, finding meanings and creating new relations that challenge the dominant colonial, imperial perspectives. in choreographic works, Kiana focuses on the densities of emotions, sensations and affects and creates enchanted spaces for poetic resilience. Kiana is the cofounder of cobracobra collective.

ROHAM AMIRI FAR is a body-based performer. His works are mainly experiential and in the fields of experimental dance film, narrative film and writing. His work is situated in between dance and his living concerns: combining the somatic and spiritual with the focus on the political and queer body. His interest is the decentralization of artistic practice and body listening. evening.haiku is an invitation to awareness. Titled after Sonia Sanchez’s collection of haikus Morning Haiku, this evening length performance comes from a lineage of “putting the world on pause”—meaning to slow down, be in nature, situate yourself and your situation within the grand scheme of things, and hopefully realize “Oh, I’m present. I’m here. And this is now.” Drawing on racial, gender and queer trauma, Djibril Sall joins dancer Sointu Pere in a search for spiritual tools for self-care and healing. To do this, they use the traditional Japanese poetic form of haikus as a vehicle for open-heartedness, awareness and compassion.

Is a multisensory music theater project initiated by Soydivision Kollektiv and L_KW,&#38;nbsp; directed and co-produced by Rabih Beaini from Morphine Records. The recent album of the Indonesian experimental music duo, Senyawa, inspires the piece. Kiamat (Day of Judgement), one of the compositions in the album Alkisah, becomes the central theme of this piece.

Is a duet about 'show business'. This choreographic work unpacks these two words to talk about interwoven economies and fantasies of performance. The business of showing up, showing off, showing down. It is an invitation by Berlin-based artist Melanie-Jame Wolf to Zürich-based choreographer Teresa Vittucci to a collaboration between their practices. Both known for their intense solo shows and 'stage presence', these two queer feminist performers explore what makes a show 'great'. Combining Wolf's expertise in text and visuality with Vittucci's fearless, intelligent approach to performance making, they examine popular entertainment, theater and politics through an experimental, interdisciplinary context. Exploring ideas of liveness, presence, hauntology, and low theory, the ambition of SHOWBUSINESS is to make a work that is critical, beautiful, darkly comedic, and affective. Audiences are invited to think about the contract between themselves and the performers they watch. Holding to light the poetics and politics of 'the Show' as a powerful and complex cultural phenomenon.
